Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Expedition Ready website and coaching services, operated by Alex Huang. By applying for or purchasing a program, you agree to them.
1. Coaching, not medical care
Important. Expedition Ready provides fitness and lifestyle coaching. It is not medical care, and nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Health Terminal makes training decisions only. Anything that appears to be a medical matter is referred to your physician. Always consult a qualified professional before starting any training program.
2. Health screening and assumption of risk
Physical training carries inherent risks. You confirm that you are participating voluntarily and assume those risks. If you have a condition that a physician manages, you agree to obtain medical clearance before training, and we may require it. You agree to complete our health-screening and consent documents, and to update us if your health status changes.
3. Data requirement
Our method depends on your own data. By joining a program you agree to wear an approved tracking device and to share the resulting data with us for coaching purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you are unwilling to do so, the program is not a fit.
4. The benchmark guarantee
Our guarantee is based on compliance and a defined benchmark, not a promise of any medical result. If you complete the protocol, meaning sessions logged, check-ins kept, and your wearable worn as agreed, and you do not hit the Expedition-Ready benchmark set at your assessment by the end of your program, we will continue coaching you at no additional charge until you do. This is a free continuation of service, not a cash refund, and it applies only where the compliance conditions are met.
5. Applications, fit, and the right to decline
Programs are offered by application and are capped in number. We may decline or defer any application at our discretion, including where a program is not a safe or suitable fit.
6. Payment, plans, and cancellation
- Prices are as listed on the Programs page and are due as agreed at enrollment. Payment plans, where offered, are set out in your enrollment agreement.
- Monthly programs continue until cancelled with the notice stated in your agreement.
- Refund and cancellation terms for fixed-term programs are set out in your enrollment agreement and control over any general statement here.
- The Summit program involves third-party expedition costs that may be non-refundable once booked.
7. Intellectual property
All program materials, content, and the Health Terminal are our intellectual property, provided for your personal use only, and may not be copied, resold, or redistributed.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Expedition Ready and Alex Huang are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the services, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the program in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/JURISDICTION]. We may update them and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
