Trackers, testing or a coach?
If you're in your 40s or 50s and taking your health seriously, you've probably bought, or nearly bought, all three. They get lumped together, though they answer different questions. A tracker tells you what happened last night. A blood test tells you where you stood on one morning. A coach decides what you do about either.
What each one costs, and what it gives you
| Tracker membership | Testing membership | Testing plus coaching | Expedition Ready | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Typical price | About $70 to $360 a year | About $350 to $365 a year | About $149 a month | From $997 a month, about $33 a day |
| What you get | Nightly sleep, HRV and recovery data, an app, more and more often an AI assistant | 150 or more biomarkers across two blood draws a year, with a written report and plan | Quarterly blood draws, clinician consults and access to a health coach | The device and labs you already have, read every week by the Veda Health Terminal, with a strength program written for you |
| How often your data gets a look | Daily, by an algorithm | Twice a year | Quarterly labs, a coach when you ask | Every Monday, by Alex, against your own 21-day baseline |
| Who decides what you do next | You | You, with a written plan | You and a health coach | Alex, adjusted in days, not months |
| Best for | Seeing your patterns | A thorough snapshot of where you stand | Ongoing lab checks with light guidance | Building strength and reserve for something specific, and proving it on your own numbers |
These are good products, and if you already own them, keep them. Your ring and your lab results carry straight over. Bring your labs. Keep your ring. Add a coach.
A tracker plus a testing membership is the data. It isn't what happens to the data.
That's a fair price for knowing your numbers, and plenty of disciplined people do well with it alone. If you've had the numbers for a year and nothing about your training changed, the missing piece isn't more data. It's a person who reads it every week and turns it into what you lift, how hard you push, and when you back off.
That's the part Expedition Ready sells, at about $33 a day.
Which purchase do you actually need?
If you want to know your numbers, buy a tracker and a testing membership. That's a sound plan, and I'll tell you so on a call. If you already know them and want them to move, before a summit, for your kids, or for the decade after you retire, that's a coaching purchase. The cheapest way to find out where you stand is the 21-Day Baseline: your device, your baseline and your first weekly brief for $297, credited in full if you continue.
Start with your own numbers.
Connect the device you already wear. In 21 days you get your personal baseline and your first Veda brief.
